Bearer offers two similar concepts that behave differently to help you achieve the right level of resiliency in your application.

Anomalies are events that are outside of the normal behavior of an API. This could be things like latency spikes, error statuses, or even unexpected request parameters. Anomalies are logged and can send notifications through one of the available notification channels.

Remediations are similar to anomalies in their configuration, but rather than just trigger a notification when a problem occurs, they take action. Remediations can trigger circuit-breaker style actions such as automatic retries, faster timeouts, and automatic call blocking.
